Bowl for Kid’s Sake
**UPDATE** Due to the Safer at Home restrictions we had to make the difficult decision to postpone all Bowl for Kids’ Sake events planned for the spring. We want to make the best possible decision for this long-standing fundraising event, so we are looking to reschedule the community Bowl for Kids’ Sake events in late fall.
Let’s get bowling!
There’s nothing better than bowling with friends . . . unless it’s bowling with friends to help kids. Get the old team back together and join the fun at Bowl for Kids’ Sake. Help local youth get the life-changing friendship of a mentor at the most important fundraiser of the year for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
And in a nod to the rich bowling history in our great state, we will celebrate by bowling in our best Wisconsin gear. Let’s embrace all the craziness that makes this place home. Packers, Badgers, cheese and brats, Houdini and Bob Uecker, cows, curds, fishing and ski jumping. Take your favorite parts of Wisconsin and bring it to the lanes. This is going to be epic!
*Open to everyone.
*Open to employees and family members of the specific company.
What is it?
Bowl for Kid’s Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters’ signature fundraiser that is held April through May in Appleton, Oshkosh and Waupaca location. Each year hundreds of people in our community come together to have fun and raise money to support Big Brothers Big Sisters as we change how our youth grow up! Bowl for Kids’ Sake is the perfect way for individual and companies to make a positive impact on our community – it only takes a little bit of effort to raise the money that is vital to our program’s success.
Each bowler is asked to raise a minimum of $50, and as a “thank you” for your support and enthusiasm Big Brothers Big Sisters hosts a celebratory bowling party at local bowling alley near you! No bowling expertise is required, only the willing to share in our heartfelt and sincere thanks for helping us defend the potential in our Littles. You will receive two hours of free bowling and shoe rental, a t-shirt, food and beverages, raffle basket, prizes and so much more!
Each Big/Little Match is asked to raise a minimum of $50 in pledges to participate in the event. If you bring family and friends will be asked to raise a minimum of $50 per individual.
Where does the money go?
Big Brothers Big Sisters depends on donation to conduct background check on volunteers to ensure child safety and provide ongoing support for children, families and volunteers to build and sustain long-lasting relationships.
Your role in this effort to help local youth cannot be overstated: We need your help to raise community awareness the challenges our local youth face and to ask for the financial support needed to continue the positive impact and changes we make in a child’s life.
