Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Wisconsin solely relies on community support efforts, like our events, to provide our important program to youth in the community. Like programing, we are working hard to keep consistency in our fundraising during this time of uncertainty. The safety of our event participants, volunteers, staff and community members is our top priority. We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic, including guidelines from public health experts regarding events and activities.
The status of our 2020 events are below. Please continue to visit www.bbbsecw.org and our Facebook page for updates.
Bowl for Kids Sake – April & May 2020
Due to the Safer at Home restrictions we had to make the difficult decision to postpone all Bowl for Kids’ Sake events planned for the spring. We want to make the best possible decision for this long-standing fundraising event, so we are looking to reschedule the community Bowl for Kids’ Sake events in late fall.
Due to unforeseeable circumstances, Annual Summer Picnic has been cancelled, but matches and families can look forward to other small activities throughout the rest of the year. If you have any questions please contact Amy Niemuth, Enrollment Coordinator at email@example.com or 920-383-4908.
Our event committee has begun to put in place event day safety precautions and social distancing practices (staggered start times, registration and payment exclusively on-line, bagged lunch to go, etc.). If we are unable to gather on event day Bike Tour will turn into a virtual event and still go on. We are committed to providing all sponsors with adequate recognition per sponsorship levels.
Dream Big Gala – October 15th, 2020
We are continuing with preparations for the Dream Big Gala as usual. We are hopeful that the event logistics will be undisturbed, but if modifications need to be made to meet state safety restrictions, we are prepared to plan accordingly so the event can still go on.
